Meet Kira

Hi, I'm Kira and I'm addicted to Sugar!

Through lots of study, trial and error and experimenting on myself, I broke my dependence on sugar (mostly).  I realized that I could help others find better wellness too! I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Health Educator with over 20 years of experience. I help Wise Women (or anyone who needs it) lose weight, quit smoking, manage stress and prevent disease. We work on reaching wellness goals slowly but surely, so it becomes and remains part of your new lifestyle.  No more yo-yo diets!

I am an avid gardener and have a passion for local food and farming. I do believe the food system in our country is broken.  We are eating more processed food, sugar, antibiotic/hormone laced meat and dairy and genetically modified products than ever before. Our health is paying the price in obesity, diabetes, and almost every other illness out there. By eating better quality food, we can prevent or heal many of these issues, find greater energy and reduce our risk for future disease. I have a particular interest in helping pre and post-menopausal women find their best wellness!!

What is Health Coaching??

It's a relatively new field in Healthcare and is rooted in the premise that the Client has the inner wisdom to make lifestyle change. Coaches help Clients create a Vision of how they want their life to look and set measurable goals to achieve that Vision. We help Clients build motivation, gain accountability and  overcome challenges. There is no such thing as failure, only learning and tweaking a goal. It is a holistic process and we address issues of mind, body and spirit, based on what the Client wants to focus on. I work with people individually, in groups and in community classes.
